The Museum of Cannock Chase

 

The Museum of Cannock Chase is a nice place for all the family to learn more about our local area and find out what is special about where we live.

Look out kids, they have a great 'Toys Gallery', where you can try your hand at some great games. This little gem has something for everyone, and any age can play together and look at lots of toys from times gone by.

Its a really pleasant place to spend some family time and there is always a changing exhibition, to encourage you to come back. The best thing is that its right on our doorstep!

January until Good Friday
Monday - Friday 11am - 4pm (last admission 3:30)

From Easter Saturday until the end of September
7 Days a week 11am - 5pm (last admission 4:30)
October 1st - 17th December
Monday - Friday 11am - 4pm (last admission 3:30)
Closed for 2 weeks at Christmas and New Year.

 

Directions

It's at the top of Valley Road, which is opposite Hednesford Park on the A460.

By Bus: Get to Hednesford Bus Terminus. Walk towards Hednesford Park and walk though it, heading for the pavillion. Pass the pavillion and exit the park, taking you onto the main road. Cross the A40 using the pedestrian crossing opposite Valley Road. Walk up the hill and the Museum of Cannock Chase is at the top. Should take approx 10 mins walk.

Or - From Hednesford Bus Terminus, catch a bus to Rugeley, and ask the driver where to get off for the Museum, opposite the park and walk up Valley Road.

If you have access issues, there is and disabled parking near the entrance, or drop off point with plenty of car parking spaces.
