Have a go at making a lantern. It's a great activity and you can get really creative.
There are three to choose from, so click on a picture below and follow the instructions.
Why not have a go at running your own mini lantern festival. Think about where it can happen and ask for permission. You could even do it at your school, by placing them outside around the school grounds and people have to hunt them!It could even raise money for your school, by doing a sponsored lantern walk.
These mini lanterns were created by our local school children from across Cannock Chase. They give you the ideas of how to construct one, and then you can let your imagination go wild, by making them bigger!
Remember to light your lantern use battery operated lights, never use a naked flame.
When walking or cycling and the light is poor or dark, be sensible, be safe and be seen.
'THINK education', is a brilliant website, for children and parents, giving great information about how to stay safe. Our Police show how to stay seen and safe!
If you, or your organistion want to get involved in one of our local lantern parades, contact us.
